Chapter 5: What’s in my Beauty Basket

Beauty Wishlist

Let’s just say limiting this blog to feature only ten beauty products on my wishlist has almost turned me grey. As you can probably imagine, my beauty wish list is far more extensive seeing as I’m a young, extremely girly and beauty obsessed individual. Anyways, before I ramble on about more products that I’m yearning after, enjoy the top ten products that are on my beauty wish list at the moment.

The Wishlist…

Glossier products are still yet to be welcomed to my makeup collection however, once I finally convince myself, this brow product will be at the top of my list. Brushed up brows are still very much on trend, which excites me as I’ve enjoyed embracing the thick, bushy brow look. Having seen multiple Instagram videos raving about this product and how it keeps your brows in place, I really want to try it. Who knows maybe in a few blogs I’ll be reviewing this product for you (fingers crossed).

Boy Brow, £14 | Glossier

Drunk Elephant, Drunk Elephant, Drunk Elephant, a brand that just keeps popping up all over my social media. Not only is the packaging exotic but the product names are also gorgeous, making me really want to join the in the skincare hype.
From time to time, I enjoy using a melting cleanser to remove my makeup. The Drunk Elephant Melting Butter Cleanser is infused with anti-oxidant fruit extracts and oils to help soothe and hydrate your skin using the most natural ingredients. Also, another incredible added bonus to this product is that it comes with a Bamboo Booster, formed from ultra-fine bamboo and charcoal to exfoliate your skin bi-weekly.

Social Life, City Life and Good Life make up the recent launch of Larry King’s shampoo and conditioner range.  Apart from absolutely iconic product names, these shampoos and conditioners are perfect for any occasion.
As a social being myself, the Social Life shampoo grabs my attention. Formulated with wheat protein, for added volume and a sugar-based complex to provide moisture and a glossy finish, this shampoo certainly sounds as if you and your hair will be in the spotlight for those afternoon drinking sessions.

A moisturising highlighting balm that pairs beautifully with a cream cheek tint. After recently sampling this on a Chanel counter, I can’t stop thinking about this product. The highlighting balm added the most perfect glimmer to my cheek bones, sculpting my face to give a natural highlight.
The transparent shade almost adds a luminous mirror effect onto the skin leaving a delicate pearl finish. This product might have to become a little treat to myself whilst pushing our way through self-isolation days.

Baume Essentiel Multi-Use Glow Stick, £33 | Chanel

It’s always fun to add an extra pop to your makeup look, which the Glossier eye pencil in shade ‘a deep red wine’ seems to do. It must be a sign to invest in this product as I’m greeted daily on social media with the gorgeous Glossier model using this pencil.
The deep red colour seems to accentuate her blue eyes and complement her skin tone. With Summer around the corner, this will be the perfect addition to my makeup bag to add a little fun to my usual makeup look. This pencil with either look great on its own to line the top lid or could be used in the water line for a deeper eye makeup look.

Colorslide Technogel Eye Pencil, £13 | Glossier

Not only is the price tag of The Ordinary products extremely attractive, their products are also of the highest quality. The high concentration of caffeine formulating this serum is said to be ideal for waking up sleep-deprived eyes. Antioxidants and anti-inflammatories in the serum are said to reduce puffiness and dark circles around the delicate eye area. This eye serum couldn’t promise better things, making me so excited to try it out.

Seeing as I’m scraping the remains out of my current and extremely dried out mascara tube, it’s time to invest in a new mascara. If you are into beauty like myself you will have seen this mascara on Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, it’s raved about everywhere which is why I want to see what all the hype is. The question is, can a mascara really be better than sex? I shall have to put that to the test.

Better Than Sex Mascara, £12 | Too Faced

The sun has been shining over London which means two things, less clothes and more self-tan. The Isle if Paradise Self-Tanning drops sound ideal for me as you can add a few drops to your face moisturiser and body moisturiser to give your skin a sun-kissed glow.
The vegan, cruelty-free and organic product is free from any chemicals that are found in a normal fake tan formula. This hydrating and glowy product is something that I will be sure to try out this summer and radiate from inside out.
