Chapter 3: Glow You Golden Goddess!

Dewy Skin Care Look

Gone are the days of caking your skin in thick mattifying foundation, pressed powder and a concealer so thick it creases under the eyes. Summer is approaching and it’s time to release your inner golden glow by using the products below that I use habitually to achieve a dewy, glowy look all year round.

The Dewy Primer, £39

All hail the creation of the Charlotte Tilbury ‘Wonderglow Face Primer’ to make your skin look dewy and radiant. This iconic beauty glow primer has been a staple in my makeup routine for a couple of years. Wonderglow creates a goddess glow to applied under your chosen foundation or tinted moisturiser.

This product can also be worn on its own to make tired and dull skin spark with a glow whilst also keeping it hydrated with hyaluronic acid contributing as a key ingredient. Florescent light diffusers in the primer re-emit light around the face, reducing the appearance of wrinkles, whilst peptides in the formula help skin to look smooth and plump. If you are new to introducing a dewy look into your makeup routine, I would recommend trying this product first as it subtly moves you through the transition to radiate.

The Dewy Drops, £35

Glow with every drop. The Figs & Rouge ‘Wonder Love Charm Glow’ has been the most recent addition to my dewy makeup look. This brightening elixir intensifies the skin with a natural glow, re-energising your complexion and soothe the skin with rose water minerals and hyaluronic acid. The beauty of this product is that it can be worn as a primer, a highlighter or even on its own for those days where your feeling more ‘skin confident’. For days when I’m really wanting to glow like a pink pearl I will use this product as a primer, apply my tinted moisturiser and then go back with this product adding a few drops to my cheek bones to emit an extra glow.

The Dewy Tint, £35

If you are looking for summer in a bottle all year round, the Charlotte Tilbury ‘Healthy Glow Hydrating Tint’ is your best friend. It’s a magic potion that secretly adapts to your skin as you apply it making you look sun-kissed all year round. I tried this product for the first time a few years ago before I went travelling as I was tired of being caked in foundation and wanted a product that acted as a moisturiser but with an added tint, this product was perfect.

The bronzing tan pigments within the cream gives your face a natural-looking tan and morphs into your skin tone whilst hydrating at the same time. The product comes out in a white, cream consistency which that quickly changes when being rubbed into the skin. What’s even more fantastic is this product is unisex meaning that men can enjoy this product just as much as the lucky ladies.

The Dewy Spritz, £22

This Summer glow not just from your face but also your body with the ICONIC London ‘Prep-Set-Glow’. This spritz can be used before, after or without any make up at all. I love using this spray as a setting spray throughout the summer months to add an extra warm, bronzed glow to my finished makeup look. The vegan formula enriched with cucumber and chamomile extracts conditions your complexion whilst emitting a healthy glow due to the light-reflecting particles. Usually with products similar to this, the shimmer and liquid tend to separate but not with this product, it displays a bronze shimmer within the bottle all day, everyday. Plus, it smells incredible too!

I hope you enjoy this Summer with the extra help of these products and glow your inner golden goddess.
