Fluttered sleeves, ruffled hems, floral embroidery and lace trims. Don’t all these descriptions just make your heart want to skip a beat with excitement? They certainly do for me.

The sand sifting through my toes, the sea air caressing my cheeks and the waves creeping up onto the shore to gentle meet with my ankles, whilst twirling down the shore in the most beautiful, floaty, sequin embellished dress… all of which was clearly a dream, unfortunately. However, it was recently sparked by the consequence of scrolling through the Free People website who have seemed to have encompass my my idea of a dream for their BoHo inspired summer wardrobe.

I invite you all to join me in my summer daydream by stepping yourself into the twelve dresses below, just like I did to help kickstart my sultry, summer dream.

The Meredith Gold Foil Dress
A statement maxi dress, featuring a foil metallic embroidered pattern is perfect for an evening date due to the glitter detailing, revealing an added sparkle to your personality. Accessorise with a pair of gold scrappy sandals or if you want to make the look even more BoHo chic, wear with a pair of white ankle cow boy boots.

The Lottie Dress
Feminine. The perfect word to describe this flowy mini dress that accentuates a scalloped hem, a lace tie up back and beautiful yet slightly dramatic sleeves. Perfect to be worn with a pair of crisp white trainers or a pair of white, knee high cowboy boots, really highlighting the BoHo look.

The Getaway Midi Dress
Mustard yellow is a staple colour in my summer wardrobe to complement my hair colour, which this dress would perfectly do. The rouged bust, puff sleeves and gorgeous floral fabrication make this dress so feminine, perfect for a coffee, long lunch or an evening on the beach sipping on a large glass of white sangria.

The Bali Golden Sun Dress
This beautiful, sequin and bead embellished dress made in Bali is perfect for sundowners or evening dates sat along the sea front. The sheer long sleeves with elasticated cuffs are extremely flattering and the vibrant colour is perfect for just any hair type, especially blondes. This dress is definitely on my wish list and of course the silver cowboy boots to finish the outfit off.

The Morning Glory Maxi Dress
This flowy, butterfly and flower patterned maxi dress is sure to get a few envious looks. The draw strong neckline, button-front detailing and casual, pull on style is perfect for a summers day wandering around the shops, meeting friends and drinking fabulous amounts of Pimm’s in the afternoon soon.

The Solstice Mini Dress
Pink will definitely make the boys wink with this sheer chiffon mini dress. Embellished with sequins and smocked elastic bell cuffs, this dress is perfect for the younger who want to add a bright colour and huge amounts of femininity to their wardrobe this summer whilst also being able to be worn with a pair of black grungey boots to give it as I would call it, the ‘London edge.’

Spell & They Gypsy Ocean Gown
Silk, vintage, feminine, dreamy, the list of words for this gown in my opinion are endless. Designed for a special collaboration between Spell and The Gypsy Collective and Free People, this silk dress with a floral jacquard fabrication and low, v neckline emits a vintage design perfect to release your inner fantasy to be a floaty fairy.

Shailee Slip
A tiered mini slip dress with a cross back feature perfect to be worn with flat sandals for a coffee date or could be dressed up in the evening with a pair of strappy heels to reveal a truly, sophisticated look to this dress. The crotchet lace panelling and ruffled skirt feature make this dress so feminine and perfect for the ‘smaller boob’ gang, just like me… don’t worry!

The Rosalie Maxi Dress
If you are looking to turn heads, this is the dress for that! The embroidered detailing, drawstring featured puff sleeves and scalloped hemlines with a flowy silhouette make this the perfect evening dress whilst also still giving a BoHo twist. Let your hair drop down in loose waves, wrap a gold necklace around your neck and put in a pair of small gold hoops and your date will be in adoration of your class and femininity.

Between Dreams Romper
A relaxed, babydoll inspired romper perfect for a more casual yet still feminine dress. The exposed back and ruffled hem featuring make this the perfect item of clothing to be worn over a cream bikini and paired with your favourite hat to look extra stylish at your favourite beach club.

Nomadic Dreams Dress
The seafoam, dreamy, embroidered dress is the epitome of the bohemian style. This dress jumped straight to the top of my Free People wish list with the flattering deep v neck line, adjustable straps and open back displaying a cool, relaxed summer dress to release my inner floaty vibes. I am such a fanatic for a bow at the back of a dress or added detailing as it’s a dress that not only compliments your front but also from behind. I really hope to own this dress one day… mum, please?

Indio Festival Slip
Even though Glastonbury has been cancelled this year, I can still dream about being at a festival wearing this floaty festival slip. Perfect to be worn over a bralette and high waisted shorts or even a bikini on the beach, this sheer slip with floral embroidered details and a tied open back is just ever so pretty.
